MEET OUR CHEFS

A native of New York City by way of the Caribbean island of Haiti, Chef Harryele Eugene found her calling to cuisine at the age of 27. Kicking off her culinary career at Michelin Star

Restaurant, Aureole, NY,NY, Chef Harryele was instantly taken under the wing of Michelin Star chef, Chef Marcus Ware. Together they worked to help open up one of  Nantucket's most raved about restaurants Greydon House, cooking for the likes of Kourtney Kardashian, Bill Bellacheck, Drew Barrymore and Morgan Freeman.  In 2018 Chef Harryle was named the Executive Chef of Greydon House, where she continued to delight guests with a refined New American Cuisine. Chef Harryle has had the honor of cooking at the James Beard House twice in both 2017 and 2018.

Chef Harryele has found a way to bring her exquisite palate, creativity and genuine passion for food to every dish she has touched. Combining the refined  techniques she has learned while working in some of the most celebrated fine dining kitchens,  with the pops of  bright colorful flavors found on the islands of the Caribbean, she believes that the most flavorful cuisine is made simply with the best, highest quality product.

A graduate of the Culinary School of Coscomart, Haiti, Chef Marie Jocelyne Verna-Charles is no stranger to the Catering Business. For 13 years, Chef Joclyne was known as the go to caterer in the city of Port-au-Prince before making her way to the United States in 1985,  where she eventually transitioned into a career working for the United Nations based primarily on the continent of Africa.  With a burning passion for her native Cuisine, Chef Jocelyne has mastered the bold flavors found in traditional Haitian dishes while also taking note of the multitude of flavors she has come across over her 25 years of international work. Newly retired, Chef Jocelyne is happy to return to her passion of Catering and creating delicious Haitian dishes.

With the intention of creatively combining the two culinary experiences, Chef Harryele and Chef Marie Jocelyne Verna-Charles  bring you ARIJO CATERING, a family owned  catering and private dining company based in Atlanta, GA
